Create a schedule: Feeling purposeless, lost at sea, without a compass? Create a schedule. Scheduling gives you structure. Maybe your structure has been taken away recently. Start today by creating a schedule. When are the kids doing school? What are you cooking for dinner, lunch, breakfast? Start by putting things into a planner or a calendar schedule

Get Ready for the Day-Girl! Get Up! Get dressed, get showered and get productive. If we stay at home and sit in our comfy clothes, what does that say….It’s comfy and cozy time. It doesn’t say, let’s get into gear. Start each day by taking care of ourselves and getting ready

Get Organized-When do the kids start classes? How are you getting your groceries? Are you ordering online? Do you have a certain time you have to do these activities? List these out and get organized. Clean your home and declutter. Physical clutter is mental clutter. If you haven’t used it in a year, you don’t need it.

Create Systems-Systems create control so you are no re-thinking everything for the first time. So much brainpower goes into learning something for the first time. Don’t put yourself in a learning experience that takes brainpower on top of chaos. If you have anxiety during this time, control the controllable by creating systems you can use daily for ease of use and mind.

Get Involved in Community- Maybe we can’t visit our neighbor, or go to church or schools and work. We can check on each other online, call loved ones, and connect. Social connections strengthen immune systems and reduce anxiety and depression. Create a positive feedback loop by getting involved.
